Who is the “Investidor Inglês”?
Hello! I am an IT professional who discovered, between lines of code and systems, that the financial market is the most fascinating algorithm of all.
My journey began in 2007, but like many others, I started the wrong way: treating the Stock Market like a casino.
After a few setbacks (which I detail in the post [My History in the Stock Market]), I made a decision that changed everything: to stop gambling and start studying.
Why “Investidor Inglês” (The English Investor)?
The blog’s name was born out of a practical need. I realized that the world’s greatest investors and the most solid strategies (such as Joel Greenblatt’s Magic Formula) were originally documented in English.
I decided to learn both languages simultaneously: the language of finance and the English language.
This blog was created to document that learning process. What started as an IT hobby has transformed into an investment laboratory with over a decade of history.

This is not a site for “hot tips” or promises of quick wealth. Here you will find Skin in the Game:
- Tested Strategies: I was one of the few in Brazil to complete a real 60-month (5-year) study applying the Magic Formula to the Brazilian Stock Exchange (B3), with full transparency of results.
- Deep Fundamental Analysis: My focus is on productivity, cash flow generation, and core indicators (EBITDA, FCF, CAPEX).
- Lifestyle & Freedom: I believe that money is a means, not an end. Therefore, I share how financial planning has allowed me to achieve dreams, such as traveling through Europe and road trips across Brazil.
Towards Financial Independence
Investidor Inglês is about taking the lead. My goal is that through my documented mistakes and successes, you can also stop being a hostage to “gurus” and become the master of your own investments.
The road is long, but the destination is worth it.
